Helen, My Dad, Ed Talbott Jr., reported a hummer at his feeder on April 15, 2002. That is in Buchanan County near the Kentucky state line. He left soon afterwards for Claytor Lake so I don't know if it is still hanging around or not. I just called my uncle, Jim Talbott, who lives in Grundy, VA. He puts out four feeders and sometimes has as many as 20+ hummers during the summer. He said he had one male that stopped by for a couple days April 14-16 and then left. Sightings of the first hummers have usually occurred by now in the area, but haven't heard of any yet this year. Would like to know the location of these migrants. Thanks!
