[Bristol-Birds] Herndon Bird Club Field Trip tomorrow, January 12

Reminder that the Herndon Bird Club Field Trip for waterfowl in Sullivan County
will start at the Weir Dam of the South Holston River at the Weir Dam Parking
Lot. Meet there at 8 a.m. tomorrow morning. We will bird the Weir Dam area
and Osceola Island, check the Holston Lake overlook, Paddle Creek, and
Middlebrook Lake, have lunch at an area eating spot, and go to Musick's
Campground after lunch. Target birds are the waterfowl, gulls and other birds
in these areas.
Grebes, Common Loons, E. Screech Owl, and a number of species of diving and
puddle ducks have been seen in these areas this year.
