Right. I must've mistook your statement about all six dbz games being fully accessible. I might pick up both budokai 3 and tenkaichi 3. They both look great, and I want the big attacks of bk 3 but advanced mechanics wouldn't be bad either. ----- Original Message ----- From: Shadow Dragon To: brandonslist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Wednesday, May 21, 2008 12:14 AM Subject: [brandon's list] Re: Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 There technically is no better. Budokai has bigger attacks more in the style of dbz, tenkaichi has more advanced battle mechanics. And no, the story mode in budokai3 isn't accessible, it has a world map. The only fully accessible DBZ games are Budokai1 and Tenkaichi3. Tenkaichi1 might be accessible, don't remember. ----- Original Message ----- From: chou.clement@xxxxxxxxx To: brandonslist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Tuesday, May 20, 2008 4:57 PM Subject: [brandon's list] Re: Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 I'm wondering whether I shold go for budokai 3 or budokai tenkaichi 3... they both look good, but I think budokai 3 is better... but I assume every single mode for both is accessible, right? ----- Original Message ----- From: Shadow Dragon To: brandonslist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Tuesday, May 20, 2008 11:09 AM Subject: [brandon's list] Re: Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 I think its just in options, game options, difficulty. Sadly I don't remember if it has a very easy difficulty option or if it just goes to easy, but I know it self-voices up to the difficulty change. There might be an faq with a menu structure you could look at , I know a lot of people used to do that, so you could find out what the difficulty levels were. Sorry I can't be of more help, I tend to forget a lot of a game's layout if I haven't played it in a while. ----- Original Message ----- From: Liam Erven To: brandonslist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Monday, May 19, 2008 6:08 PM Subject: [brandon's list] Re: Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 what's the best way to change difficulty? I know this reference somethign a few weeks old. I just picke dup the game again, and now I'm convinced on getting through it ----- Original Message ----- From: Shadow Dragon To: brandonslist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Sunday, May 11, 2008 9:52 AM Subject: [brandon's list] Re: Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 The control scheme is different than in most games. Its more like urban reign. X makes you dash forward, square punches, triangle shoots your chi blasts and circle is guard. sort of. the guard system in tenkaichi is weird. there're also advanced mechanics like if you hit circle just before an attack lands ,you'll teleport away from it. you can fly and charge up your energy as well, and most buttons can be held down for a charged attack. You do stay locked on unlike in previous games though, so no more finding your opponent, just push x or hold r1 and x to fly forward and you'll be right in front of your enemy. Also you might want to consider setting the difficulty to easy or even very easy, this game is exceedingly hard compared to the other two. If you got DBZ TK3 that is. But I did beat it all the way through, all 6 dbz games, so I know they're all fully accessible. ----- Original Message ----- From: Liam Erven To: brandonslist@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Sunday, May 11, 2008 2:17 AM Subject: [brandon's list] Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 so like. anyone has success playing? I keep getting owned pretty poorly on the first mission. I suppose I probably should actually go read up on the dragon ball z characters.
