[braillesupport] Orbit Reader 20 not auto-scrolling

Hi,

I'm hoping that we have Orbit Reader 20 expertise.

I recently came into possession of an Orbit Reader 20, which originally was bought from the RNIB in around August of 2019.

It's working well enough, apart from the left panning rocker being reluctant to move, and one other thing. Although auto-scrolling is mentioned in the onboard Users' Manual, it does not appear in the menu for this unit. Now my immediate vendor claims that it does work on this unit, but that they used it [auto-scroll] only occasionally.

So, where in the menu is auto-scrolling supposed to be? At this moment, when panning (reading the Users' Manual, or any other book in the Reader's Stand-Alone Mode) I press SPACE to initiate auto-scrolling; but, no matter how long I wait [any amount of seconds for the display to refresh], nothing happens. Pressing up-arrow +space to increase the scrolling rate, or the finer-controls right- or left-arrow, likewise appear to do nothing.

Something is either missing, or broken. Would a firmware upgrade help? Any help, you can offer it to me here or privately.

Thanks.
