Perhaps by Googling "BrailleNote Apex case" the name of the alternative accessories resource I'm thinking of can be discovered.

Hi, I haven't heard of any other place you can buy the battery from. I figured because it isn't a standard battery humanware would be the only ones providing them. I know in the past with the MPowers people have gone to other places to get the batteries replaced even though humanware was meant to be the only place to have it done. I'm happy to be corrected but I would
like to know where the other place is.

| Actually Sharon, that's not true. There is a company that sells | the very same battery that comes with the Apex. Perhaps someone
| else can tell us what that company's name is though, because
| although I got a replacement battery from them, I don't recall
| its name. However, I do recall going through that company
| because it offered that battery for $50.00 instead of the HW
| price of $60.00.

|
| Hi, I'm not sure what sort of battery the Apex takes. All I know
| is it seems
| to be one humanware designed for the Apex so the only place you
| can get a
| new one is humanware. You just need to tell them you need a
| battery for the
| Apex and they will be able to sell you one. Then when you get
| the new
| battery in the post you can put it into your Apex yourself. At
| that stage if
| you have any questions about putting the battery in the Apex
| please ask on
| list and we can help you.

|
|| Good Morning BrailleNote Users,
||
|| Yesterday I had to take an exam for one of my classes. In the
|| middle of the exam the battery on my Apex died and I had to ask
|| for a reader to read the rest of the exam to me. What kind of
|| batteries do the Apex take? I know that you nex to call
| Humanware
|| to obtain a replaceable battery but I can replace the batter
|| myself. Hope to hear from you soon.
