Vic,

This gets a bit technical. If a file called Makefile.am in any directory 
has been changed you must run autogen.sh and configure again. Otherwise 
you can just run make and make install. 

Question for Michael: How can one get a list of files that have been 
updated in Mercurial? Subversion provides one by default.
