Hello Pele,

I haven't experienced the issues you write about .
Our models are different, and I haven't saved a document over 400 KB, I haven't had problems with long lines of text. Battery life has always been an issue, and I think other braille input device users may be surprised at how quickly the batteries drain out. . I turn off Wireless, usb devices, startup sounds, ethernet, in the hope to prolong the life of the battery and turn them on when they are needed. It's a chore though and surely shouldn't be necessary with modern semi conductor devices and lithium iron cells. But then again what the hell do i know?

Regards,

Joe

Hi Everyone

I did not know if this list was still functioning, but having seen the messages about converting files I thought I would ask my questions.

I am using the Braille Sense 32 Plus QWERTY. I upgraded to Version 7 when it came out but had a number of problems:

1. Block and Copy did not copy the whole block. This has since been identified as a problem by HIMS and they issued a new version to correct it.

2. Sometimes when reading long lines of text in Grade 2 Braille words were missed. Again, after a lot of correspondence, HIMS have identified the problem
and say they will correct it in the next version.

3. It sometimes takes minutes to save a long document. This has been reported to HIMS. A long document means anything over about 400 Kbs.

4. The Battery Level Indicator was not correct, or something in Version 7 drains the battery really quickly. I have got a new battery and the problem still
exists. It has been reported to HIMS.

In December I got so fed up that I reverted to Version 6.1 and everything has been fine.

My husband, who has the same model but did not have the battery problems, has also reverted to Version 6.1.

Has anyone else had any of these problems? Are they just related to the QWERTY version?
