That is my way to Jamie, scanning for me is easier, and I am better at it.
Hate spell check, ahem, smile, and grammar in general. Will read the book
if it interests me fixing errors as I go, but if I am not interested then I
will just post the scanned book and let it go to the fates.

I just don't validate anymore. It's much more fun and interesting to me to
scan. I can't say that having a book I rejected show back up on step 1 a few
days later turned me off but it certainly didn't make me feel like I'd done
the right thing.
I only validate if someone asks me to do a particular thing like help with
pictures. Otherwise I would prefer to scan and I do have quite a pile to
scan.
I would rather leave the validating to those, like yourself, who carefully
read each word and make sure it is all as it should be.
