Thanks, Shane. I have a friend who's letting me use his scanner for now. It's an Epson Perfection 1650. I used to have one. The one that just died was a 3170 and I loved that thing! I almost wanted to cry when it died! <smile> The 1650 is considerably slower but at least I can continue to scan until I can do something about this. Take care. -- Julie Morales Email & Windows/MSN Messenger: mercy421@xxxxxxxxxxx AIM mercylab421 http://juliemorales.avonrepresentative.com/ Currently in Winchester Regional, Virginia Partly Cloudy, 80°F Wind:WSW-240° at 7mph Laundry Room: Drop your pants here. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Shane Christenson" <drummershane@xxxxxxxxxx> To: <bookshare-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, August 17, 2007 4:57 AM Subject: [bookshare-discuss] Re: death of a scanner Hi Julie. That can't be good. Sorry to hear your scanner has died. I hope some of our tips will help you make the right choice for a new one, and that you'll be back up and scanning like a pro in no time.
