With JAWS running, hit CTRL+INSERT+F4 to get rid of the Office Assistant.
Otherwise, open the Assistant dialog while the Assistant is still turned on,
try hitting O to get into the Options menue, and tab over to something like
Show Office Assistant, and uncheck it with your SPACEBAR. Tab to OK and hit
ENTER. Hope this helps--
