If you watch the show, you may know that they've been
having online tests. You can sign up and then take the
test at a given time. In the next month or so they're
doing that for college kids and teens, possibly for
younger, too.
I took the online test last spring and was invited to
the next step, which was going for the written test,
game play and interview. I'm pretty sure that's as far
as I'll get. I was one of the last 6 of my group of
20-some to be called up to play, and even though I
wrote on the form about bookshare and other stuff, I
don't think I'm interesting enough, although I think I
did well on the written test and o.k. on the short
game play. But it was a lot of fun, and if those of
you who are fans haven't tried it, I recommend it. You
know there has been at least one blind player, and I
think he did well and was in one of the championship
contests. He looked a lot like a blind bridge player I
played against in years ago when I played duplicate,
but tht was so long ago it's probably my imagination.
