I really enjoy the books. I just wish that missing one was up there.
I went past that story but there is going to be a good story in that one by the
references back to it in the later books.

Shannon, sorry but I don't believe Dad and Gone is on Bookshare. I tried
searching by name and ISBN and could not find it.

I know you probably prefer to get it from Bookshare, but Dead and Gone is
available from the NLS BARD program. Here's the BARD entry:

  Dead and Gone

Vachss, Andrew. Read by Ray Foushee. Reading time 11 hours 27 minutes.

  Suspense

P.I. Burke is hired to be the middleman in a ransom swap for a kidnapped boy.
But it turns out he was set up to be murdered. After months in the hospital,
Burke goes underground to find his betrayers and runs into an underworld of
pedophiles. Strong language and some violence. 2000.

  Download Dead and Gone, DB58663

Subject: [bookshare-discuss] Missing book in a series

  Good afternoon,

I have been enjoying a series by Andrew Vachss.

The series is about Burke, outlaw soldier-of-fortune investigator in New York

All of the books listed by

  www.stopyourkillingme.com

are on the site except for one called Dead and Gone from 2000

And I would like to read it if any one is interested in this book.

I am boggled how this one out of the middle of the series managed to get
missed but... I sure don't see it up on the site.

Is it there but under a misspelling or something like that?

  Thanks Shannon
