For anyone who loves country music, I just found a prize on Paperback Swap.
I just ordered the hardcover edition of Pride: The Charley Pride Story, by
Charley Pride and Jim Henderson. Charley Pride was my childhood hero, a man
who sang about the landscape of my life in a small town and who reminded me
that anyone can overcome the odds with talent, persistence, and God's help.
As someone who struggled with and overcame clinical depression, poverty,
racial prejudice, and intense shyness, this is a man whose story has
interested and inspired me for most of my life. I can hardly wait to read
this book. Is anyone interested in validating it once I've got it scanned
and proofread?
