Hi everyone. Did any of you get any new books for Christmas or
Kwanzaa? Did you read anything new over your holiday vacation?

I got several books from my family. I got two novels from the Cooking
Class mystery series. I think the titles are The Cooking School Murder
and Murder On The Menu. As far as I can see, none of this series is on
Bookshare. They're small paperbacks, so scanning them shouldn't take
long.

I also got a cookbook called Cooking Healthy With The Kids In Mind and
a book about container herb gardening whose name I can't remember.

After all the presents were opened and the paper cleared away, I
curled up with a book from Bookshare called God's Smuggler. It's an
excellent story about a Dutch missionary who helped to smuggle Bibles
and other support behind the iron curtain into Russia, Poland, and
other communist states. The story is gripping, the more so because it
is true, and the narrow escapes made me hold my breath as I read. You
can get the book from Bookshare at
