You must be behind in checking your email. I have by now figured out the problem. What I meant about answering me as if I were a complete idiot is that my self-taught computer skills have missed a lot that I am completely ignorant of. That means that anyone who actually does know what they are doing should not assume that I know anything when trying to give me assistance. In a message dated 8/2/2008 6:24:22 P.M. I'm not a member of RFB&D, so I am sorry that I can not help you with that task. Be sure to put each BookShare book, in it's own folder. If you need assistance, please email me, any time, or call me on Tuesday morning at 9 AM. CST. Oh, and you need to know that you are not an "idiot." <smile> Thanks. I don't know what your operating system is, but if I can help at all please let me know. ----- Original Message ----- From: _Rogerbailey81@xxxxxxxx (mailto:Rogerbailey81@xxxxxxx) To: _bookshare-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx (mailto:bookshare-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx) Sent: Tuesday, July 29, 2008 11:20 PM Subject: [bookshare-discuss] CD to Stream On the recommendation of so many of you on this list I have bought a Victor Stream. It arrived today and I have spent most of the day learning how to use it. Finally I managed to transfer a bookshare book I had validated and still had on my computer onto it. My next task was to transfer an RFB&D book from its CD onto it. That has stymied me. The instructions are simple, especially after I managed to put the Bookshare book on it. Rather than browsing to my documents directory I browse to my CD drive. That, I have not been able to do. I have browsed through everything I have on the computer and found nothing labeled CD drive. I suspect that it is going by another name, but when I tried every directory with a name such that I did not know its function I was told every time that no item was selected. I am using the Stream Companion installed from the disk that came with the Stream. Does anyone have any advice? It would probably be best if you answered me as if I am a complete idiot. ____________________________________ Get fantasy football with free live scoring. _Sign up for FanHouse Fantasy Football today_ (http://www.fanhouse.com/fantasyaffair?ncid=aolspr00050000000020) . ____________________________________ Get fantasy football with free live scoring. _Sign up for FanHouse Fantasy Football today_ (http://www.fanhouse.com/fantasyaffair?ncid=aolspr00050000000020) .
