The BI6 downloads and reads daisy books just fine. It's a better voice than in
that other note taker we like so well. The blaze book reader, those has big
problem opening books from Bookshare, whether they are downloaded directly on
the device or taken from anoedr device like the Stream or the 6 itself. I don't
understand, because some books open and read just fine, while others won't read
at all.
As far as the 6 is concerned, though, it's great, as long as you aren't
interested in something you can hold in the palm of your hand. of

I always download bookshare books as daisy without images. I don't
download the braille files. The daisy files give you much more
navigation and are easy to work with. I have no idea if devices like
the hims notetakers can read the daisy books or not. Good luck.

I'd like to know whether anyone else has noticed increasing difficulty
with downloading BRF files. I can't find a pattern for which books do
this, but at least 1/3 of my recent download attempts go to the "My
History" page and never work, even after refreshing it. Other formats of
the same titles work immediately. This started after upgrading my
BrailleSense Polaris, so I first thought it was ssecific to that device.
But the failure to package and download the same books occurs with the
BrailleNote Apex (I know, it's a wonder the Apex still goes there), and,
for the most part, on our Windows-10 PC.
Is there some change in how Bookshare BRF files are packaged, or accessed
generally, that I'm not aware of? Thank you for any help.
