I do that every single night. Hopefully the sleep timer will always be there.

My only regret is that I love to fall asleep reading a book.
I know, it's weird, but we all have our oddities!
Perhaps I'll have to use my current Bookport for things like that.

My Nokia cellphone accepts a direct charge, and current cellphone batteries are remarkably robust. I wouldn't mind that sort of battery if replacements were readily available. I think the reason most of us want replaceable batteries has a lot to do with the down time involved, not to mention how frankly difficult it is for us to prepare, package, and ship units which

require service. However, I, too trust APH to do a fine job of figuring
out
works best for the majority of people.

If a new, thinner unit is eventually marketed, I'd like to see hard
plastic
buttons which are more or less flush with the unit, rather like many
cellphone buttons. To my way of thinking, this would make for tougher
devices which would function remarkably well during travel.

If you're thinking about using something similar to what cellphones
use,
we'll
have to have a cradle type gizmo into which we would plug in the
bookport
or
its battery pack. Comparing that situation to the current one, that's

adding a
nuisance gfactor. Personally I like the present situation. We just
have
to be
gentle with replacing batteries. I probably sound like a party pooper

here. But
I'm so in love with the bookport the way it is! That doesn't mean
that I
don't
think some changes could be great. Bare in mind that I've had my
bookport
only
since September and I feel like a kid in a candy store when I go to
the
web
braille and bookshare sites. (big Grin.)
