But reentering your settings is simple. Don't be afraid to experiment. I promise you. Pushing buttons on your BP will not break it. You really don't have anything to lose at this point, and your Bookport is under warranty if you need to have it repaired. That would be a shame, though. Once you get this little beastie in your hands, you don't ever want to be without it!

Hi Barb and list:If E did nothing, perhaps you have pressed 1+3, which locks the unit. Try pressing 1+3 together again to unlock it. Then see if E will exit. Others have suggested removing and replacing the batteries. This should also work, though will reset all settings to default.Cheers, Dave ----- Original Message ----- From: "Barbara Rhodes" <brhodes@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, December 27, 2006 8:08 PM Subject: [bookport] Re: flash card AND RESPONDER NEEDS HELP, TOO!!!!Hi Dave -- That might have been the case, But Pressing "e" did nothing Looking to hearing from Tech support, so I can figure what happened. Hi Barbara and list: You're unit is in braille input mode. Press escape, which is the E key. Bookport will say exit. You will now be out of braille mode. Wait until you hear the double beep. Now it is safe to remove the card. Caution!!! Be sure the Book Port is shut off before you remove card or you may lose everything -- even the help files (which I desperately want back!!!! The Book Port kept saying enter, enter when I pressed the 2 key, and it would not shut down, and pressing the star and 0 or the pound and 0 would not accomplish anything. Pressing the "e" key would not accomplish anything either, not even Help". I tried calling APH first thing this morning, but they are closed for the Holidays -- guess they won't open until after the first of the year. My Book Port is "sick" and I am not feeling well either, and you can't reach anyone who knows anything about the Book Port, or me. Sorry, I am frustrated and I am venting. Hope you had a wonderful Holiday.
