If you're running Windows XP on your computer, this is not necessary. Not
sure whether or not you need to if you've got another version of Windows,
but I'd recommend it.

Okay, I am still on the tape tutorial.
I have installed the Book Port Transfer program , but have not yet connected
my Book Port.
My question is whether you should use the safely remove hardware dialog
before disconnecting the BP from the PC.
It doesn't sound like this is being done from the tape tutorial.
