Don't know about asf, but wma can be done using Gold Wave or NCH Switch programs, which have a free version that will convert files. 

I use NCH more for converting.

Hi List Members,
I have asf and wma files that I would like to convert to mp3 and then play on the Book Port. Are there programs free and for sale that would enable me to do this? Could I convert a batch of them at one time so that I can give the computer the job and leave it for an hour or so while it converts the files? I have about 90 or so to convert.
Thanks. Please do not tell me where to get the programs if you have any recommendations.
