Rusty:

That is something that can probably be repaired.  Since it is out of
warranty, the fee will be $65.  Your only other option would be another
unit.

Hi folks,
I'm hoping that all the kings horses, and maybe some of you as well,
can help me out. My book port fell from a table. Unfortunately is had
the usb cable in and the cable end of the unit either hit something on
the way down, or hit the floor. It seems thet the usb socket has  been
nocked off the board. It is loose inside and, of course, my cable
doesn't fit properly.
The unit works otherwise.
What are my options? Since it is not under warentee, should I send it
in? Is the usb socket just plugged on to the board, or soldered? Is my
bookport dead?
