Kurt, I had the same problem almost two months ago. I sent my unit back. When APH got it back from Springer; it needed to be sent back to the factory for repair; it had a different problem. I still have not received a fixed device. Your email makes me wonder what happened simply because of a battery change? I was changing batteries last night and when I put the new ones in it didn't work. I have been using rechargable batteries so probably changed them too often. Well, I have my spare, so I can use that when the other one is being fixed. I guess it is my fault for handling it too roughly. I hope the new model uses a different contact system.
