The current hardware prevents this. That is something we have been wanting to do since day one. >>> fritzfamily@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx Thursday, February 09, 2006 9:18:08 AM >>> Larry is it possible to synchronize the Book Ports clock with the Computer when you connected it or go out on the web to one of the atomic clock sites? I would prefer the syncing with the computer personally verses manually setting it... Hopefully that alarm will make it back in there, perhaps with the sort order feature. We had to yank it from this release though. Unfortunately, believe it or not, that time synch feature isn't doable. That's something we've wanted since day one. >>> emai7s@xxxxxx Thursday, February 09, 2006 4:10:39 AM >>> Hi Larry, < Peter, I think we can also squeeze a sort order in there, too. Ok, great news. That's something that's bugged me from the very start. Glad to hear that help is on the way! I haven't commented on the alarm to date due to its inofficial status, but I think it is very well designed and easy to use. I actually use it quite a bit, and hope it returns in official form soon. My request to improve the reliability of the Book Port's internal clock by synching it with the transfer software was actually motivated by a desire to make sure that the alarm doesn't go off at an inappropriate time due to the clock being off by a number of hours (caused by a reset or whatever).
