I tried downloading the beta firmware. When I connect the BP, it give no info about a new firmware version available. when I hit the update firmware button in the options dialog, is says something like file write error and aborts. The BP still works fine. Any ideas, or would an innovative solution to the problem be too futuristic and outrageous?

What do you mean that it won't "let you" download the beta code...and is it
the software or firmware that you want? If it's the Transfer software,
uninstall Book Port Transfer, install the version that's on the Book Port CD
that came with your BP, open Options>Advanced settings and indicate that you
want to have the program check for new software and firmware when it loads.

I'm sure this has been covered before, but I wasn't having the problem at the time. I'm currently running a beta firmware, and I'd like to get the latest beta. Unfortunately the computer that had the old software on it is no longer usable, and the new install won't let me download the new beta. How do I fix this?
