Hello,
Well, it just happened to me as well. I plugged in my BP and did what I
normally would do. I deleted some parts that I just finished reading, =
they
were Audible parts. Everything was fine as frog hair until I =
disconnected
my BP. That is the point it started to babble and nothing I do will =
stop
it. I don't have a card reader on my computer. Any suggestions as to =
how I
get this thing to stop babbling. Oh yeah, I have tried to remove the =
1GB
card and put in the 64MB card, and this did not help either. Is the =
only
way to fix the BP at this point to format the card via card reader? =20

Thanks for any help anyone can tell.

Subject: [bookport] babble report

Hello,
Well now I know what the people who have had problems with babbling are
talking about! Here is exactly what happened in my case. I connected =
the
bookport to the PC. No response. This has happened before so I'm not
unduly concerned. Usually, disconnecting and then reconnecting solves =
the
problem. Please note that I do not choose "unplug" from the system tray =
as
the device has not been recognized--I simply unplug and reconnect. This
time, however, when I unplugged the Bookport, it started to babble in =
the
manner already described on this list. Neither a 2+B combo or a battery
reset resolve the problem. I took the card out of the device, put it in =
my
card reader and deleted the "lastfile._aa" file and the memo folder for =
good
measure. This seems to have resolved the problem. When I put the card =
back
in the Bookport it behaved as expected and I am now in the middle of
transferring my files. Hope this information is helpful. Thanks.

P.S. Just disconnected and everything is hunky dory!
