I have cleaned a Braille display, with minute amounts of alcohol and
canned air. It took about an hour, but the display has functioned
flawlessly since. Saved a bunch of money.

Walt: believe it or not, I once tried some similar stuff to clean out
an intermittent Braille display. That was a big mistake, as we say
modestly. So much for the dots.
