I am using Outlook as well, and someone on another list is not allowing =
me to post because my messages contain equals signs.  This is to prevent =
the passing of viruses.  I checked everywhere I could think of, and I =
appear to be sending in plain text.

No, I don't think so, but I am using Outlook, not Outlook Express. I
think that makes a difference. I don't have Outlook configured to use
HTML, either. I've never figured out that "=3D3D20" junk, myself.

that the firmware transfer first goes to the card, then to the =3D3D

I don't have headphones attached when I have BP connected to the
computer,=3D3D3D3D20
but I have listened often enough to hear the warning not to press any
keys,=3D3D3D3D20
and the subsequent progress messages of the transfer procedure.
