[bookport] Still Trying Update

I see no pattern as to when my BP starts babbling folder names, and it's
difficult to get it to stop. Once, when I finally did manage to obtain
silence, I ran the executable for Test 8. After disconnecting and
reconnecting several times, the babbling having resumed yet again, the BP
announced, upon another disconnect, that the code had begun to update. The
unit counted to 3, then stopped. I waited for over 30 seconds, and nothing
more happened. Now no keys work on the unit, removing the flash card and/or
batteries has no effect, and my computer does not chime at either connection
or disconnection. My computer is not frozen, considering that I'm writing
this email in the same session.
Please, what shall I do now?
