I agree - please keep the beeps and let me look at the percentage
as I wish. Most of these transfers go so fast that by the time it
says 10 percent, 20 percent, 30 percent, your file has long-sense
been transferred.

Hello folks.
I would prefer to keep the beeps, given that, with any of the
better-known
screen readers, status can be easily obtained during downloads.
