I completely agree. This is 100% consistent with the way JAWS works, for 
example.

Don,
I think you have an excellent point that case data and punctuation
should be included in the five command to spell a word.  And
personally, I would rather hear a couple of unnecessary characters in
a quick word-spell, than take the time to jump into the menu to turn
them off.  For a short routine such as that, I would rather have too
much information than get too little, and then have to go into the
character mode to get everything. In other words, I think you have a
good suggestion there.
