There's also a very serious bug in the beta firmware. I've heard that when you drop the Book Port into a bathtub and fill it with warm water, the Book Port doesn't seem to work as expected afterwards, even after a reset. This should probably be addressed in a later firmware.

Okay, kidding about that. But great suggestions all and as these are pretty basic, I hope they'll be implimented soon. Larry, any idea as to when the next beta will be out?

That's right, Grant. If you're going to take the time to review a word, it would make sense to begin at the beginning.

I like that idea...I also think that the next word command should place you at the beginning of that word, not the end, in case you want to review it.

I would definately second that suggestion.

: Obviously, when the seven and nine keys are used to traverse a word, all
: punctuation is announced, and pitch raises show capitalization. This is
: good and expected behavior.
:
: However, I think the same thing should happen if the five key is held
: down to spell a word; in other words, even if punctuation is set off,
: holding down the five key should yield all punctuation and reflect pitch
: changes for capitalization (which it now does not). If someone is
: taking the time to hold down the five key, they need to know as much as
: possible about the word under the cursor; this should be the default.
: If many disagree with this, then perhaps a check box in the settings
: options something like "Honor punctuation setting when spelling word."
: If checked, holding down the five key would offer the spelling including
: only the punctuation allowed in the setting for punctuation. If
: unchecked, all punctuation would be read regardless of the punctuation
: setting. I do think however, that pitch signifying capital letters
: should always be honored when the five key is held down.
