Every once in a while, the Bookport doesn't start where you leave off. It does this not only with Web Braille, but with txt files, etc. At times, the move backwards is quite substantial... sometimes a page or two. I have just learned to live with the problem. It seems to do it more with larger files, especially the closer to the end of the file you reach. This isn't a good answer, but it is all I have. Setting a bookmark when you stop reading is a good idea if it annoys you that much. Personally, I don't set a lot of bookmarks, unless I am reading the Bible. I would forget to clear them. You clear bookmarks the same way you set them. Go to the bookmark you wish to clear by either pressing 5, 6 for forward, 4, 5 for back. Then press 4, 6.. This will clear it if there is a bookmark to clear. If there isn't, it will set a bookmark. You can do this with all files, including Audible. However, when setting or clearing bookmarks in Audible files, the Bookport doesn't say they have been set or cleared. Just be aware of this, and you will be okay. Otherwise, you might become confused.

Is this something to do with updates? It's been a while since I read web braille, but never had that problem. You could, of course, make a bookmark whenever you stopped, but what a hastle, and what if you're interupted and don't have time. Hope you can get it fixed.

You have to hold your finger on the line where you stopped.

Subject: [bookport] NLS question

Hello all:
I have noticed when I am reading web braille books from the National Library Service on my bookport that if I stop the bookport, it will jump back to a previous section and I must take time to re-find my spot. Are there any tips so this does not keep happening?
Any tips would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I will be found by you," declares the LORD, "and will bring you back from captivity.
