Mike:

You probably aren't a beta tester. This is fine, as this is a beta
version of the firmware, so you shouldn't get an offer to update unless
you really are a beta tester.

Rob,

Using buttons A+C reports version 02.02.00.00, and the automatic update

feature when I connect BookPort says "firmware update -- checking for
update
100% complete." Also from the options/firmware update menu I get the
message "no update available at this time."

On Friday I could not get the update, and today was the result
described
above. Also today, at one point, the options menu did not have a
choice for
firmware update (I cycled through the choices twice), but it did have a

choice for software update. I rebooted my computer and the firmware
option
re-appeared.

Try again; perhaps our server was down. It has nothing to do with card
sizes, serial numbers, etc.

Hi Folks,

I got to wondering why some of us can't get the beta for the port. My
only idea is that some of us aren't using 4 gig cards. Mine is only a
256 mb because I use it for text files entirely.
What do people think? Do you think it's down to the size of the card
in
our units? Another possibility is the serial number.
Best
