For the most part, it doesn't. I think APH is redesigning it.
Hello, I am just getting started with my book port. Can you please explain what spider is and how it works?

Hello All,
I've only been with the list a short while. I'm very pleased with the amount and quality of knowledge shared here. So, I am now going to get around to why I joined in the first place.
I would like to get a better understanding of Spider. I've used it to download a single web page or a portion of a single web page. Can it do more then this? Can it be automated so that every morning I just walk over to my computer and plug in my BookPort and the newspaper is downloaded? I keep coming across references to RSS feeds. Do I need to learn more about them to use Spider?
I apologize if my questions are not clear, or if I am heading down a path that does not exist. I'm sure that as those knowledgeable on this list start posting information I will have a better understanding of what I need to ask.
It just occurred to me that I am probably the only one not attending the Convention. I always have a conflict with the Convention schedule and my teaching schedule at the University. So if I don't get responses to this post, I will repost it sometime the week after the convention.
Thanks, Annette
