Jim, I was just about to disagree with you but I changed my mine. The scenario you propose is exactly what happens in Windows. When you delete a character, it is the next key that gets spoken. However, when you press the back space, which also deletes, windows says the actual key you are deleting. So, I guess the bottom line is that even Microsoft is not totally consistent. Or, they came up with some reason why it should be different in both places.
