You could do the same thing with APH's Studio Recorder also.

While I realize that Randy's message was tongue in cheek, I just 
play the overdrive book and use the what you hear option to 
record an mp3 file using Total Recorder.  It may take over night, 
but I don't have to baby sit the process, so it really doesn't 
matter.

Converting overdrive or other protected wma files is a sin and 
against
copyright law. You can use windows media player to transfer the 
content to a
supported mp3 player but it will be keyed to that player and of 
course will
not be mp3 files.
