Yes Dave it is.  IN fact, if you download and unpack a daisy book from
Bookshare, then use BP Transfer to move it to the BP, all the transfer
software shows of the 8 or so daisy files in the Bookshare book is the .opf
file.  It may show the html file if you choose to have the unpack software
make one, but I never do.
As for .brf, I use it almost exclusively as it is smaller than the daisy
files.  MOre books, ya know?  :)
