Jeremiah:

Book Port has always reversed the channels of stereo MP3 files. This is =
not a problem with the beta firmware; this is a hardware problem. The best =
thing to do if this bothers you is to use a set of headphones (or ear =
buds) that is reversable. That way, you can get proper channel orientation =
by wearing the headphones backwards.

Hi once more, all. I've noticed, with the combination of the beta test =3D
seven firmware and the last three betas of the software, that the Book =3D
Port is reversing the channels of stereo files played with it. I've yet =
=3D
to determine whether the glitch occurs when transferring files through =3D
the transfer tool only, or if it occurs whenever the device plays stereo =
=3D
files, but I have most definitely seen the switch. The track I've tested =
=3D
with, in case anyone has the CD and wants to check my results against =3D
their own, is Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'" from the Live CD. The =3D
piano should start on the left, with the guitar on the right, but on the =
=3D
BP this appears opposite of that. I'll be happy to provide the MP3 to =3D
APH, and only APH, for their testing if requested. I sent this file to =3D
the device via the transfer tool, though the files which made me work to =
=3D
investigate the potential of the behavior were sent to the Book Port via =
=3D
simply copying them to the flash card itself. Thanks in advance for any =
=3D
responses which come forth.
Jeremiah
