Did you let BP format and intiailize the new card first? Quote of the nanosecond. . ."Things turn out best for the people who make the best out of the way things turn out."

When I plug in the Book Port with the new flash card, nothing happens, other than the audible beep that lets you know that the circuit is complete between the Book Port and computer.
Check your startup folder in start menu / programs, tell me if bookport launcher is listed there. That's a little program which runs in the background and waits for the book port to be connected, then automatically opens book port transfer when it detects the device. If bookport launcher is not running, this won't work, and furthermore, bookport transfer won't even detect the book port once you launch it. If you need to, write back to the list and I'll give you instructions on how to get that back up and running. There is no program shown in StartMenu/Programs called Program Launcher. Is it necessary, as the original card seems to launch the transfer program.
