Hi Marta:No. I don't think so. The most recent software is dealing with Translation Table issues and nothing else, so it shouldn't affect this behavior. In the past, when we've seen this problem occur, it had to do with something in the end of the files that the firmware didn't like and it was causing it to jump ahead.I have forwarded your message to our head programmer and we'll go from there.Pamela Rader, TECHNICAL SUPPORT American Printing House For The Blind 1839 Frankfort Ave. Louisville, KY 40206 PHONE: 1-800-223-1839, Ext. 307yerbabruja@xxxxxxxx 08/27/07 03:12PM >>>Hi Pamela; Is it a problem of the software? Is it because of the recent betas that have come down the pike/ Marta----- Original Message ----- From: "PAMELA RADER" <PRADER@xxxxxxx>To: <bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, August 27, 2007 2:36 PM Subject: [bookport] Re: BP and audio files questionMarta: This has been a problem in the past. I will let them know it's broken again. What'll happen is that when I open one of the foldersof the book let's say I start folder one, the device will read perhaps thefirst ten audio tracks of the book, maybe the first 11, somewhere in the middle of the reading though, as it makes the transition to the next track, it'll either skip a few sentences of that upcoming track or of the previous one. It'll do it as the reading is in progress. If this is the case, I wish we did havesuggestions. I wasn't creating folders before when I was trying to transfer the files, and that appeared to be the source of the problem. So for the most part it transitions from file to file quite well. But sometimes when going from one file to the other the device will skip either the beginning of that upcoming file, or the last part of the previous file. I am able after a fashion to get the device to go back to where I left off reading before it did the skip, so apparently there'snothing wrong with the files that were transferred, but it does have thatquirk. I'm led to believe that the transferred files are okay becausewhen I listen to them in windows media player the transition from file tofile goes smoothly. Any ideas on how to resolve this? Thank you.
