[bookport] 8 Weeks?

I read this morning that there was an 8 week lead time on the
bookport. Please don't say it's so! If this is the case then I am
in for a very sad Christmas. I know my folks ordered the unit a
couple of weeks ago, don't know if they have it yet or not but
this info sure blew the hell out of my weekend! Anyone got any
more or better info on this?
