Hello all you sluggish people. Suggestion, Defrag your card and see if it makes a difference. I've notice that the problem starts after you start to add books after the first loading of books. What I did to solve the problem was to reformat the card and to reload all my books in one batch and it solve the problem. I think we need a function on the BC that will defrag the data on the card after a loading and to remove the deleted data from the BC. The tip of Fanus is also corect, limit the amount of books in a folder. Cheers from Mister Speedy reading. Cheers. ----- Original Message ----- From: "George Bell" <george@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <bookcourier@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, November 24, 2004 11:33 PM Subject: [bookcourier] Re: flash card quality has something to do with sluggeshnes Can I suggest that we look at sizes of files in folders, as opposed to just purely numbers of files in them? Clearly some of you are experiencing sluggishness while others are not, and assuming the latest firmware is in use, there simply must be something causing it. Is anyone with a serious case of the problem willing to let the manufacturers have your flash card so that it can be tested in their labs? I'm sticking my neck on the block here, but I have absolutely no doubt whatsoever that you will be compensated in some small way.
