... and I would respectfully argue that there is a difference between
a cogent argument against an opinion presented on BOO and arguing that
we should all go back to talking about birds, because the discussion
about other stuff makes someone uncomfortable.
There is a difference between arguing your point and trying to suppress
the discussion.
The original poster was not presenting a reasoned counter argument which
I would be most happy to consider. He was effectively saying I should
shut up and go back to talking about where he can find birds. I
presented him with some alternatives.
