I know we're supposed to all be nice and get along and stuff, but...
This list serve was not created to dispense bird advice or day-lists.
It was set up very specifically to discuss the politics of birding
which includes, like it or not, land use management, wildlife
management, public access to land and efforts to curb public access to
land by monied self-interests and narrow-minded constitutional
revisionists. I suppose there are some who thought it was created just
to tide things over 'til the Bundy Occupation was over. Those folks
were tilting at fluffy unicorns...
Boo's here, we're still angry, get used to it.
Am I surprised that we are now hearing complaints about the site created
for political discussions being too political and needing to go back to
talking about birds? Not really.
Too much email? Set the mail to vacation and read on the archive.
That's what I do on both OBOL and BOO.
Don't like what you're hearing on BOO, because it doesn't match your
politics? Don't read it. Go away. Find your own coffee shop.
