I took a pause of about a week to treat some 15 mm terrain - 23 latex
pieces from Timecast Models (in the UK) including fields, rough ground
patches, and 4 small ponds. Plus I painted a "rocky outcropping" piece from
Stone Mountain which would have been perfect for "Point of Rocks" in the
Elkhorn Tavern scenario I ran last January. Oh well, mice and men.
Anyway, I was tired of denoting open spaces in heavily wooded ACW
scenarios with camo cloth turned wrong side up. So, I went to Timecast for
open terrain. I liked their stuff so well I have order 18 more fields in
assorted sizes. They "despatched" it (yea, they're Brits) on the 24th,
right after the world shut down. We'll see what that does to shipping
speed. The first batch took about 2.5 weeks after "despatching".
I'll be returning to ACW cavalry shortly -- 80 horses and 90 troopers left
to paint in that arm of the service. How does the math work? Ten painted
horses are waiting for troopers. This chunk of work should hold me for a
number of weeks. The mass of primed figures currently staring at me says
so.
That's the word from Cell Block D. There are no escapes currently planned.

Boys,
I have certainly missed seeing you guys after so many years of gaming and
dining together. With that in mind, I am just curious about what the guys
in our gaming group have been up to. Share if you want.
I have been working on 28mm World War 2 US infantry. I finished 12 last
week and will wrap up 14 more tomorrow, leaving 12 more to wrap up. Then,
on to the Germans.
