sends shivers up the spine for those of us who maintain extensive stream url

New Clear Channel Player
Clear Channel has switched to a new player that makes it easy to "tag" songs for
purchase in iTunes. Over the weekend, we changed all 800+ station links to the
player, even though some Clear Channel stations that don't play music have not
The new player doesn't work on Macs and Firefox without installing additional
The "Need Help?" link on their player explains what you need and you'll find the
same link here (along with a link to the old player for now)

ok. So what does this all mean:

(1) The new form for the streaming url of a CC family station is as follows:

station's website address

Ok. So I tested and verified this on the following stations:

wfxj, Jacksonville, FL -- am 930, Sports Foxx plus local

woc, davenport, IA -- AM 1420 newstalk

wrno, new orleans, la -- fm 99.5 newstalk

wflf, Pine Hills/orlando, FL -- AM 540

wgst, atlanta, ga -- am 640 newstalk

If a station doesn't stream, and you try the url, you simply get a msg
indication that this station doesn't stream.

(2) RAV tunes these urls fine as it did the previous CC-tuner stations.

(3) RAV, however, will not record these streams, as it stands now,
using stream capture. Hopefully, the jump urls Applian creates will deal with
this successfully.
Remember, for listening purposes, these urls work fine and if you routinely
listen to clear channel stations, it's time to update before the old links are
