Eudora 8 was a clone of what use to be an early version of Mozilla
ThunderBird, with some Eudora menus and feels, but it did not work well
at all.

I use the exact eudora as you do. However, mine decides it won't allow me to
find its attached folder, grins. I wondered about the version 8, guess andy,
the person who built my computer thought it might work. We ditched it not
knowing anything about it and couldn't find any reference to it.

This is a long shot, but my attachment problems started when I
installed an updated DLL to Eudora. It was supposed to fix
something, I can't remember what, then the system started making
my attachments disappear.

And we have done exactly what you suggest without finding it.

did you use custom folders? if not, the attach folder may be
installed undersomewhere else. when you select custom folders eudora is
c:\program files\qualcom\eudora
and the atach folder is in the
c:\program files\qualcom\eudora
folder. try going to your c: drive and look for your name or
maybe the user folder and then your name and then look for
qualcom and under that should be the eudora folder where the
attach folder should be. hope this helps.
