there is a file, Eudora.jgf, containing the eudora graphics. the only way I know to work with it, though, is to change the graphics using the auto graphics labeler and let JFW alter the .jgf file. With windows 7 I can't find anything, but I used to be able to find it with windows XP. If you can find it, you can save it from version to version ofJAWS and save yourself a lot of aggravation.

My guess is that you at some point created a .jgf file to match your screen resolution, and when you install a new version of JAWS that file is merged into the installation. When you then compile the eudora scripts, the JFW file replaces yours, and you're unlabeled.

To label the graphics

1. Press insert-v for adjust JAWS options, set graphics to all.
2. In your list of e-mail, arrow to something you know is unread. It will say 'graphic 453', or some other number.
3. Go into JAWS cursor, arrow to the number,
press insert-g for the labeler, type 'unread' or 'unred' or something that will pronounce the way you want it to, and press enter.
4. In the list, go to something you know you have hread, and label it.
5. send yourself something with an attachment, and when it arrives, label that.
6. Forward something, and label that graphic.

Etc.

Maybe there's an easier way????

then save your .jgf file so you can use it for new installations. I used to be able to navigate to the .jgf file like this:

program files
jaws 11
explore jaws
explore my settings
personalized settings
Eudora.jgf ...

Two days ago I could make that work, but today I can't.

Good luck!

Not sure if this made it to the list the first time.
Here is my problem. When I install a new version of JAWS, I like to compile my current scripts. There is something in my current Eudora scripts which keeps the graphics from being spoken, I think. When I first install the new version of JAWS, the sent, read etc. graphics are spoken. However when I compile the scripts, the spoken labels go away.

I am not even sure where the scripts file for Eudora exists. Perhaps if I could find it and look at it, I could fix it.
Anybody up to this?
Betsy
