Well if you have a Fire TV, you could download the Amazon A. person app to
your Android or iPhone and then link your XM Account and then you could tell
A. to play such and such. I should think though that you may be able to
link your XMAccount to your Google Account as well.
I am a Lifetime Subscriber to XM. Initially I thought I might have made a
mistake but I have everything and it seems to reflect Sirius/XM's highest
tier account so that was not a bad deal after all! I've enjoyed a few extra
years of XM from that investment and I still could activate a device. I'll
probably activate my Mom's car at some point since it has XM already
installed but isn't activated. She currently lives in another state though

Hello Amanda and everyone,
We're big fans of SiriusXM. Since we're in the process of
setting up Alexa I need to download the SiriusXM Skills and activate them.
We wished it would be possible to have Siri or Google assistant be able to
call up specific channels. For example instead of going into the favorites
screen of SiriusXM it would be cool to just say, "Hay Siri. Play Sisties ON
Six From SiriusXM." Before we knew it Shot Gun Tom Kelly would start
speaking and playing Sixties Oldies we knew and loved when we were growing
up. Sixties on Six is SiriusXM Channel 6. Other SiriusXM Channels we like
are Cinamagic, "Channel 150", Seventies ON Seven, Channel "7", Symphony
Hall, Channel 76, Forties Junction, Channel 42, and Holiday Traditions,
Channel 776. For the old-time radio fans here they have a channel called,
"Radio Classics" which plays lots of vintige radio programs. I can't
remember the channel number. I'll need to see if the SiriusXM Skills for
Alexa will allow one to launch one of their chchannels via voice. I'm
guessing the Alexa syntax would be to summon Alexa to wake her up. Next
would come something like "Play Holiday Traditions From SiriusXM." We plan
to buy an Amazon Fire Stick and some Echo devices so we can have music
throughout the house and to summon Alexa from wherever we are. I'll let you
know how it works out.

Pluto TV which is free does have some Music Channels along with MTV and VH1
channels and I think they have CMT. Their channel list is pretty large but
of course, they don't offer the dedicated channels like you will find on
Cable TV since there's fees involved.
Personally, I use Sirius XM, IHeart and Amazon Music for more music than I
could ever listen to in my lifetime!
There's of course Pandora and others.

Hello everyone,
We're curious to know if anyone knows if some of the other
cable replacement services also include music streams in addition to the
live tv stations. The only one we know of that offers this combination is
You Tube TV. We currently have a service called "Music Choice" through
Spectrom. Their offerings used to be much better in years past. In many
instances you don't always hear the original versions of songs they play on
some of their channels. Stage And Screen, and Sounds Of The Season are
vulnerable to this practice big-time.
We've been using Fubo TV to this point and over all we like
this service. This service specializes in sports-related programming.
Unfortunately the accessibility is inconsistent across devices. For example
the Apple TV Version will announce selections on the menu bar but it will
not read the list of tv channels. It's the exact opposite when Google
Assistant is used. Fortunately there are work-arounds. For example if you
know that a particular program comes on a specific channel at a certain time
you can find that channel by it's program guide listings. This is true with
both Google and Apple TV.
Since we've invested in learning and using Fubo TV this baby
won't be thrown out with the basket. We want to see how it behaves with the
Amazon Fire Stick using Voice View and on the Microsoft Xbox with Narrator.
Since we enjoy any and all types of holiday music we're
always looking for new services to try. It may be that Fubo is creating a
music service as an add-on. I'll need to check it out. As mentioned
previously the only cable replacement service we know of that also offers
online music streaming is You Tube TV. If they have apps for various devices
we could subscribe to a stand-alone version of You Tube Music.
