Hi,
I have some interesting news for people who want an emulator which can
emulate the speaker. Traditionally, there was no way to access these
emulators as the Apple text is printed in such a way that screen readers can
not access it. This is still true, and I have found no emulator which works
good and emulates an E or GS and is accessible. However, digging around
through my disks, I found a disk of Morse code programs. On that disk is an
Applesoft program which loads a short machine language routine. The end
result is that text sent to the screen is output to the speaker in Morse
code. I don't consider myself good enough with Morse for this to do me any
good but if anybody here is, that would be one option for accessing at least
some Apple programs with DOS 3.3, using otherwise inaccessible emulators.
If you want to try this, the emulator in question must accurately emulate
the Apple speaker. If anybody wants a copy of this program let me know.
Jayson.
